Sithney Street This scheme is located in a suburb of Plymouth approximately 4 miles from the city centre and is a brownfield site adjoining an existing terrace of houses where flats have been demolished. The site was developed by Devon & Cornwall Housing Association, a Registered Social Landlord and now contains 5 new dwellings, a mixture of two and three bed houses, designed by ADG. The scheme attained the Eco Homes Very Good award and was certified Secured by Design. A further innovation in the scheme was the use of MMC and off site fabrication which involved using timber framed construction manufactured locally in Cornwall. The design of the elevation is urban and contemporary in appearance, to suit the location. The development plays a part in delivering much needed affordable housing in the city of Plymouth. |
