Plymouth Nuffield Increased demand on operating theatres due to partnership work with Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust provided the impetus to add a theatre suite to the existing department. A mobile facility was provided to the east of the building for a period of 12 months whilst the new extension was constructed. The technical solutions involved a steel frame over ceiling an existing stores facility and careful management of the works to maintain a fully operating hospital. ADG were also appointed to manage and negotiate appraisals from the CQC. This project is one in a series that have evolved from a masterplan for the site prepared by ADG in 1999, aimed at maximising the delivery of healthcare services in Devon and Cornwall. RIBA stages A-L completed by ADG. |
