University Medical Centre This project transferred an existing victorian building into a contemporary medical centre for university students. The primary focus was to create a welcoming reception and upper waiting area, together with provision of a disabled w.c, 2 treatment rooms and 4 consulting rooms. Partitions were removed and beams inserted in the ground floor to open-up this whole area. Fused glass artwork screens were commissioned for the lower waiting area and upper waiting areas. These and the environment as a whole have proved to be very beneficial to the staff and students. Numbers of students have increased considerably since this centre has been open and in such proximity to the University of Plymouth. |
