Holmcroft The scheme seeks to redevelop a dilapidated residential care home on the centre of Lyme Regis, Dorset, into luxury residential accommodation. ADG have developed designs for complete demolition of the existing building and replacement on a similar footprint. The design provides 11 apartments, ranging between 1 and 4 bedrooms with associated off street parking and private garden space. The redevelopment proposals have been generated with the conversation area and neighbouring listed buildings in mind. Close neighbour and key stakeholder consultation and feedback have steered the development of the massing and elevation treatment. A series of sun studies have been carried out to determine the impact of solar shading on neighoburing properties. This 3D modelling has informed the shape and profile of the new roof form which includes an additional level of accommodation. The proposed materials reflect those used previously on the site and are sympathetic to the conservation area setting. |
