Princesshay Land Securities have lead the regeneration of central Exeter with the Princesshay project, an investment of £225 million combining a department store, retail units, restaurants and 123 apartments in an integrated mixed use development. ADG were selected to work alongside Chapman Taylor architects and Sir Robert McAlpine to design and manage the residential elements with a specific brief to coordinate apartments with the department store and retail units. The commission extended into adapting the shell of a number of retail units and assisting with fit-out proposals. ADG were also novated by the client to act as fit-out architects with Midas Interiors for the delivery of the 123 apartments for an approximate construction value of £7.5 million. ADG developed an excellent work relationship with the Exeter City Council and were subsequently recommended to work with developers on the Quayside area of the city. |
